The wait is almost over, it’s officially draft week! In a few short days we will see how the first round of the NFL Draft shakes out. It seems pretty clear that Miami QB Cam Ward will likely be the #1 overall pick by the Tennessee Titans and their QB of the future for Head Coach Brian Callahan. Once the pick is officially announced the draft really starts at #2 overall with the Cleveland Browns. How many QBs will go in the first round? Will there be more offensive or defensive players in the first round? Which position will have the most first round picks? These are some of the questions that I can hopefully answer in my final mock draft leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft:

  1. TENNESSEE TITANS- CAM WARD QUARTERBACK | MIAMI

Tennessee upgraded their OL this off-season headlined by a pair of big time signings in Dan Moore and Kevin Zeitler, leaving their biggest need still on the table- QB. By most accounts the top QB in the class is Miami’s Cam Ward and with the Titans keeping the pick it seems very clear that Ward will be the starter in Tennessee come September.

  1. CLEVELAND BROWNS- TRAVIS HUNTER CB/WR | COLORADO

The Browns need a QB more than anyone but they seem be going the veteran route which opens up the door for Colorado’s two-way star Travis Hunter. Hunter seems to be a better fit at WR in Cleveland opposite Jerry Jeudy with some packages on defense if they need his skills in the secondary.

  1. NEW YORK GIANTS- ABDUL CARTER EDGE | PENN STATE

New York traded for a veteran pass rusher last year in Brian Burns but strike gold with their pick in Abdul Carter. The Penn State defender may be the best prospect in the draft and would form a dangerous DL unit with Burns & Lawrence.

  1. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS- WILL CAMPBELL OFFENSIVE LINE | LSU

The Patriots have the QB in place with Drake Maye but need to protect him for the future which leads them to LSU’s Will Campbell. The versatile lineman has played most of his time at LT but some question his length at the next level and think moving inside may be best for his career. Regardless of where he plays, Campbell is the type of player Mike Vrabel will love and could also be a leader in the locker room for the foreseeable future.

  1. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS- MASON GRAHAM DEFENSIVE LINE | MICHIGAN

Jacksonville could use some help in their interior DL and land the top one in the class with Mason Graham. The Michigan standout has all the tools to step in day 1 and contribute alongside Josh Allen-Hines & Travon Walker.

  1. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS- ARMAND MEMBOU OFFENSIVE LINE | MISSOURI

Vegas could look to upgrade their RB room but HC Pete Carroll wants to upgrade the trenches and gets the best RT in the draft in Armand Membou. The Missouri lineman has been rising the ranks over the last couple months and could form a great T duo with Kolton Miller for the future.

  1. NEW YORK JETS- TYLER WARREN TIGHT END | PENN STATE

New York found their QB for at least the next couple seasons in Justin Fields and get a complimentary piece in TE Tyler Warren. With WR Garrett Wilson being the team's go-to target, Warren can step in as a security blanket for Fields and will step in as the teams' day 1 starting TE.

  1. CAROLINA PANTHERS- JALON WALKER LINEBACKER | GEORGIA

The Panthers need some help at both LB and EDGE and Jalon Walker could help solve both needs. The Georgia LB is a Swiss army knife type defender who can both drop in coverage as well as effectively rush the QB which would be a great addition for Carolina.

  1. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS- MYKEL WILLIAMS EDGE | GEORGIA

This may be a surprising pick but the Saints wont have former All-Pro defender Cameron Jordan for long which gives them a great opportunity to get his replacement in Mykel Williams. Williams has the build the defensive coaches dream but will need development and could learn from one of the league's best.

  1. CHICAGO BEARS- ASHTON JEANTY RUNNING BACK | BOISE STATE

HC Ben Johnson loves to run the ball and with the massive additions on their OL, the Bears land the draft's top RB in Ashton Jeanty. The Heisman trophy runner-up is a complete three down RB who would be a perfect fit for Chicago who needs to alleviate some pressure from QB Caleb Williams and the rest of the offense.

  1. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS- SHEMAR STEWART EDGE | TEXAS A&M

San Francisco is in a bit of transition in their trenches and swing big for a potential home run pick with Shemar Stewart. The Texas A&M standout is a bit of a marvel in this class, as he had little production with the Aggies but demolished the scouting combine and is built to play in any defense. If the 49ers can hit on this pick, they could have an elite pass rush with Stewart and Nick Bosa.

  1. DALLAS COWBOYS- TETAIROA MCMILLAN WIDE RECEIVER | ARIZONA

The Cowboys have a top 5 WR in Ceedee Lamb but also could use a legit WR2 and they land Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan. The 6-4 WR has a big catch radius and would be a good complimentary piece for the Cowboys offense and QB Dak Prescott.

  1. MIAMI DOLPHINS- WILL JOHNSON CORNERBACK | MICHIGAN

Miami looks to be parting ways with veteran CB Jalen Ramsey which means they need a true CB1 for now and the future. Enter Michigan's Will Johnson who had an up and down 2024 season to pair with injury issues but if Miami can tap into what we saw the previous season, the Dolphins will have their lock down CB.

  1. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS- COLSTON LOVELAND TIGHT END | MICHIGAN

Indianapolis would love for TE Tyler Warren to fall to them at 14 but land the next best thing in Colston Loveland. The Michigan playmaker is a fantastic receiving TE who would be just another quality weapon for the QB whether it be Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones.

  1. ATLANTA FALCONS- KELVIN BANKS JR. OFFENSIVE LINE | TEXAS

Atlanta's current LT is nearing the end of his career which could open up a spot for a prospect like Kelvin Banks Jr. The Texas lineman won college football's award for the nation's best offensive lineman and would pair up timewise perfectly with their young QB Michael Penix Jr. for the forseeable future.

  1. ARIZONA CARDINALS- MATTHEW GOLDEN WIDE RECEIVER | TEXAS

This may be a surprise pick here but Arizona could use more help in their WR room besides Marvin Harrison Jr. and add Texas speedster Matthew Golden. While Harrison Jr. is the big body target and red zone monster, Golden can be the outside speed threat to add another dimension to the Cardinals offense.

  1. CINCINNATI BENGALS- MIKE GREEN EDGE | MARSHALL

The Bengals need some pass rush help after the retirement of Sam Hubbard and the long term uncertainty of Trey Hendrickson and they roll with a small school prospect in Mike Green. The Marshall defender exploded onto the college scene leading the nation in sacks and followed up with a fun performance at the Senior Bowl, cementing his status a first round pick for a pass rush needy team.

  1. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS- NICK EMMANWORI SAFETY | SOUTH CAROLINA

Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald developed one of the best big bodied secondary defenders in Kyle Hamilton and look to replicate that with Nick Emmanwori. The South Carolina standout had an eye popping combine performance and with his immense size (6-3, 220 lbs.) and athletic skills, should fit in nicely with Macdonald’s defense.

  1. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS- MALAKI STARKS SAFETY | GEORGIA

Tampa Bay has a star S in Antoine Winfield Jr. so why not get him a top notch running mate in Malaki Starks. The Georgia defender didn't have the best season but is still one of the best S prospects in the draft and can play all over the field which would be great for HC Todd Bowles’ defense.

  1. DENVER BRONCOS- OMARION HAMPTON RUNNING BACK | NORTH CAROLINA

There seems to be a growing sense that the Broncos and HC Sean Payton might be aiming for a week 1 starting RB and land their guy with Omarion Hampton. The bruising runner has all the tools to be a three down back in the NFL and if it wasn't for Ashton Jeanty would very much be this class’s RB1.

  1. PITTSBURGH STEELERS- SHEDEUR SANDERS QUARTERBACK | COLORADO

Pittsburgh has had some issues landing their long term QB for the last couple years and hopefully stop that trend with this pick in Shedeur Sanders. The Colorado pass is one of the draft's more accurate QBs and could have a chance to step in and get quality snaps with great weapons in WRs DK Metcalf and George Pickens.

  1. LOS ANGELES CHARGERS- KENNETH GRANT DEFENSIVE LINE | MICHIGAN

Los Angeles could use some run stuffing help on their DL so why not HC Jim Harbaugh reconnect with one of his former Michigan Wolverines in Kenneth Grant. Grant is a wall of a human who can step in early and contribute right away for the Chargers as they look to retool their DL.

  1. GREEN BAY PACKERS- EMEKA EGBUKA WIDE RECEIVER | OHIO STATE

The Packers could look for help at CB or EDGE but they opt for help on offense with an experienced WR in Emeka Egbuka. The Ohio State playmaker can play outside or in the slot and is an experienced route runner which would be great as the team looks for help with the injury to Christian Watson impacting his 2025 season.

  1. MINNESOTA VIKINGS- JAHDAE BARRON CORNERBACK | TEXAS

Minnesota is one of the more aggressive defenses but could use more help in the secondary so look no further than Jahdae Barron. The Texas CB looks like he could play alot of time inside as a nickel defender which is becoming the norm in the NFL and would give the Vikings a ball hawk for the foreseeable future.

  1. HOUSTON TEXANS- JOSH SIMMONS OFFENSIVE LINE | OHIO STATE

Houston made the most shocking trade this off-season by trading away Pro Bowl LT Laremy Tunsil which opens up the spot for a rookie like Ohio State’s Josh Simmons. The Buckeye lineman was on pace to fight for the top lineman drafted but suffered a season ending injury and is fighting to be ready for week 1. If Simmons gets back to pre-injury form, the Texans may have the steal of the first round.

  1. LOS ANGELES RAMS- JIHAAD CAMPBELL LINEBACKER | ALABAMA

The Rams had one of the best draft classes last season with Jared Verse and Braden Fiske and continue the rebuild of their front seven with LB Jihaad Campbell. The Alabama defender is an athletic tackler who should be able to provide some legitamacy to the Los Angeles LB room and continue to form one of the league's best young defenses.

  1. BALTIMORE RAVENS- TYLER BOOKER INTERIOR OFFENSIVE LINE | ALABAMA

The Baltimore Ravens have a history drafting Alabama prospects and they land another one here with Tyler Booker. Booker may not be a fun position at OG but the Ravens could use some depth on their OL and has the chance to find a plug and play lineman late in the first round.

  1. DETROIT LIONS- JAMES PEARCE JR. EDGE | TENNESSEE

Detroit needs a true pass rusher opposite Aidan Hutchinson and have a chance to land a potential star with James Pearce Jr. At one point Pearce Jr. was the potential #1 overall pick of this draft class and if the Lions get the best out of Pearce Jr. they might have themselves a legitimate every down defender with Pro Bowl upside.

  1. WASHINGTON COMMANDERS- DONOVAN EZIERUAKU EDGE | BOSTON COLLEGE

Washington is building one of the best teams in the league led by Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels and what could help them is more pass rush help for HC Dan Quinn. Boston College defender Donovan Ezeiruaku seems like the type of player that would land with Quinn and develop him a 10 sack/year pass rusher. Ezeiruaku has a miriad of pass rush moves and would be a great fit for the Commanders defense who are lacking someone to get after the QB.

  1. BUFFALO BILLS- DERRICK HARMON DEFENSIVE LINE | OREGON

The Bills have some great pieces on the DL headlined by Gregory Rousseau and Ed Oliver but could use a big body in the middle like Derrick Harmon. Harmon had a good season with oregon after transferring from Michigan State and can add some pass rush to the interior of HC Sean McDermott's defense.

  1. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS- JOSH CONERLY JR. OFFENSIVE LINE | OREGON

It's no surprise the Chiefs need OL help following their Superbowl loss and no better player to take a chance on than Josh Conerly. The Oregon lineman has tremendous upside and showed he can hold his own with the best including his matchup against Abdul Carter in the college football playoffs. If the Chiefs want to find a long term answer at LT to protect QB Patrick Mahomes, Conerly might be the pick.

  1. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES- NIC SCOURTON | EDGE | TEXAS A&M

Rounding out the first round are the Superbowl champion Eagles who get themselves yet another quality defender with Nic Scourton. Scourton didnt have the best season at Texas A&M but if Philadelphia gets the defender we saw in 2023 at Purdue, Scourton might just be the perfect replacement for Josh Sweat for 2025 and beyond.
