The NFL draft is less an a month away and here are some pairings that could yield good results for both the prospect and the team. While some of these pairings may not be likely, these are matches that I think would be beneficial for both parties and could have a chance of happening during the draft:

SONNY STYLES  LB | OHIO STATE
DALLAS COWBOYS

The Dallas Cowboys have one of the more explosive offenses in the league but are lacking an identity on defense and could use a leader of the defense like Ohio State LB Sonny Styles. The athletic freak (6-5, 244 lbs.) had a standout season for the Buckeyes to pair with an historic performance at the combine, making him one of the draft’s most fascinating prospects. The last time the Cowboys had consistency in their LB group was 2019 with Sean Lee and having been searching for their long-term replacement which would be a perfect opportunity for Styles. Not only would Styles step in as a day 1 starter for Dallas’s defense but he would have a chance to showcase his leadership skills and bring back some speed and athleticism that the Cowboys LB group has lacked for the last few seasons.

JEREMIYAH LOVE  RB | NOTRE DAME
TENNESSEE TITANS

Tennessee has found their new Head Coach with Robert Saleh to hopefully right the ship with second year QB Cam Ward and what would make them better is pairing their young QB with this year’s top RB prospect in Jeremiyah Love. The Heisman Trophy finalist is the complete package in what teams want in a true workhorse RB and the Titans could use more firepower on offense. While the Titans do have a competent running game with veteran Tony Pollard, he is not a long-term fix for the position and bringing in Love would give them a great duo for 2026 with hope he takes over the starting role full-time and become their 3-down star playmaker for 2027 and beyond.

KENYON SADIQ  TE | OREGON
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

The Eagles resigned veteran TE Dallas Goedert to a 1-year extension which means he’ll be in their plans for this season, but beyond 2026, the Eagles may be looking for his replacement like Oregon’s Kenyon Sadiq. The Oregon prospect boasts some of the draft’s top athletic traits amongst the TE group and showcased his upside at the combine giving teams a glimpse of his potential at the next level. While Sadiq isnt the biggest TE (6-3, 240 lbs.) he has all the tools to be a quality receiving threat for the Eagles and QB Jalen Hurts as the team will look to re-tool their offense for the future.

RUEBEN BAIN JR.  EDGE | MIAMI
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Kansas City made one of the big splashes this offseason by signing Superbowl MVP RB Kenneth Walker as they look to rebound from a disappointing 2025 but they could still use some help on their defense with a prospect like Rueben Bain Jr. The powerful pass rusher had a tremendous season for Miami and has the tools of a potential defensive anchor which could aid the Chiefs in their pursuit of getting back on top of the AFC. While future Hall of Fame DL Chris Jones still has plenty left in the tank, the Chiefs cant rely on him to play forever and Bain Jr. would be a more than suitable replacement as leader on the DL and a future captain of the team for the future.

CALEB DOWNS  S | OHIO STATE
MINNESOTA VIKINGS

For the last decade, the Minnesota Vikings defense was led by veteran S Harrison Smith, but with his recent departure the team could potentially fill in his role perfectly with Ohio State star Caleb Downs. The Buckeye standout has been one of college football’s more complete defenders in the secondary since he’s stepped on the field and would be a perfect match with Defensive Coordinator Brian Flores. If the Vikings intend to bounce back in 2026, adding an elite prospect like Downs would bring immediate help to the Minnesota defense.

JORDYN TYSON  WR | ARIZONA STATE
MIAMI DOLPHINS

No team this offseason has been in rebuild mode more than the Miami Dolphins, including their most recent trade of WR Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos. This leaves a big hole on offense for new QB Malik Willis which could be a perfect opening for Arizona State prospect Jordyn Tyson. The athletic WR has been the Sun Devil’s top WR for the last few years and has the capability to play all over the field giving teams like the Dolphins a versatile weapon for any QB right from the start. Miami is a young team in need of offensive playmakers, and a talent like Tyson would do wonders for Willis and their offense. While there are concerns for Tyson's health due to previous injuries, if he is cleared and ready to go for the season, he would be an immediate upgrade for Miami and aid in the long term plans of the Dolphins.

MONROE FREELING  OL | GEORGIA
CLEVELAND BROWNS

Its no secret the Cleveland Browns need just as much help on their OL as any team and while they’ve invested in several free agents on the interior, they are still searching for a long-term solution at OT. If the Browns want to take a shot at a high upside prospect, look no further than Georgia’s Monroe Freeling. The athletic OL (6-7, 315 lbs.) has been one of the biggest risers this offseason and all the traits teams look for in a potential franchise left tackle. While Freeling isnt the household name like other OL prospects but he likely has the most upside of anyone in his group and could be one that the Browns & Head Coach Todd Monken need for the future.

DAVID BAILEY  EDGE | TEXAS TECH
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Tampa Bay has been searching for pass rush help since the departure of Shaq Barrett and one pairing that would be fun would be giving Head Coach Todd Bowles a specialist like David Bailey. The Texas Tech edge defender has one of the best first steps of any pass rusher in the class and has all the tools to be a day 1 starter for the Buccaneers defense. Not only would Bailey be Tampa Bay’s best pass rusher but would fit nicely to Bowles’ 3-4 defense and set the tone for a team looking to get back to the playoffs.
